This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
I wanted to automate creating a bug list from Bugzilla and saving it to disk for off-line perusal. Unfortunately this does not seem to be possible. buglist.cgi, the normal search CGI, accepts GET requests with a list of criteria, which is great. But the long-format bug listing is long_list.cgi according to source for the page (the "Long Format" button); and its parameter is not the search criteria, but rather a fixed list of bugs. So in order to automate getting the long-format list, something would have to extract the bug numbers from buglist.cgi by parsing it, and then pass this list to long_list.cgi. Why not just let long_list.cgi accept GET requests with search criteria to begin with, so that you could simply make up one URL that would provide all the search results you wanted in long format? Better yet, merge the two CGIs, so that there can be a checkbox on the query page for long format vs. short format.
