I download the updates and add them. The certificates verify, but
Forte just locks up. The updates are to the editor and update.

IMO, this bug depends on #8735. IDE needs to be restarted in order to apply the
newly downloaded modules/patches. Apparently, it cannot exit due to #8735 and
the autoupdate process gets stuck.

Need details to reproduce, ide.log, thread dump. Provisionally assigning to
autoupdate assuming the problem lies there, but without details to reproduce it
is hard to say...

I cannot reproduce this bug. I think it's probably the same problem as in 8735
bug.
Closing for now, pending details to reproduce.
