Description John Lindsay 2000-12-04 07:06:50 UTC
Everytime I try to shutdown Forte via exit from the command menu, the
modules just stop responding.
I eventually have to kill the forte's from the task manager and reboot.
Sometimes after the reboot, Forte
will not complete initialization. If I reboot again then
it ususally comes up.

I am not having anyother application problems.

Need a log file for diagnostics (system/ide.log); please attach to the bug as a
Bugzilla attachment.

Also if the IDE ever "stops responding" this probably means a deadlock
somewhere--please get a thread dump (on Windows, use the runide.exe not
runidew.exe so as to get a console window, and in the console press Ctrl-Break),
and paste that into a text file and attach to the bug as well.

Note that Windows 98 is no longer a supported platform for the IDE--but it still
ought to work, there is just more likelihood of operating system bugs
interfering with Java than on NT/2000.
