Is it really a requirement to install the IDE in JA named directory? Cannot we just specify that the name of directory cannot be in JA? Anyway, seems like the problem is in the URL classloader.
Version: 'Dev' -> 3.2
Jesse, do you think that the bug could be fixed by your "split loaders"?
Patrick, please verify if it is possible to install 3.2 into Japanese directory. Thanks.
Will assign to Patrik to ask to reproduce.
Patrik, please check this again. Probably the problem lies in a startup script, I don't know. Steps to reproduce a similar problem on a non-Japanese machine would be very helpful. But anyway I agree that installing the IDE into a directory not named in common ASCII characters is very foolish.
Target milestone -> 3.3
how can you manipulate with dir named in japanese using shell script? Try install JDK under a dir with japanese name and see !!
With latest efforts concerning space in path, we were wondering if this can be reopened or revaluated to see if multibyte in name of nb or ffj installation dir can be supported ? Other parts of nb, where legal in java language or other specs, allow for multibyte to be in names of various files/directories.
Consistent use of the I18N keyword.
