Description myatt83 2006-09-08 01:35:13 UTC
In the collab module when a user is browsing the list of public conversations
the UI should paginate the results and only display the first XX records. Last
time I queried there were about 350 public conversations. If this list grows
much more then anyone who clicks the Browse button in the Find Conversations
window is going to be waiting a while.

Also add a property in the Collaboration properties (Tools > Options >
Miscellaneous > Collab) that allows you to set the number of records the Browse
Conversations should return at a time - default set to 50.

Currently to load about 350 conversations into the list takes about 45-50
seconds from broadband connection on east coast of USA (in New York state). -
understand there are server load and network latency considerations that vary
the load time, but 40-50 seconds is a long time to wait to browse a simple list
of data.

Other than this issue I absolutely love the Collab tools in NB. Cheers to the
NB team and contributors for providing it!!

Reassigning to issues@collab. Collab Support plugin is not actively maintained.

Obsoleted in 6.7 by the newly introduced integration with Project Kenai, a
collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects,
which includes also a chat service.
