Description Michael Nazarov 2006-09-01 13:25:23 UTC
Installation under Vista works fine, but after installation
AS doesn't start due to invalid permissions on "domains"
directory - starter process unable to acces required files.

After setting full access for all users AS starts as expected.

Was there any announcement that EntPack support Windows Vista?
I haven`t seen it anywhere. Correct?

After all what about the installation log? I see no attach.
What about detail information about the user (who installed EntPack) rights?
What about the "full access" rights determination?

There is no announced Vista support but it's coming so this issue filed.

User, installed pack, is member of Administrators group.

As for "full access" - it's just full access or Full Control in terms of Windows
NTFS security.

Please try the same scenario under user with english letters only (I mean no
names like "Иван Сидорокин")

The first unexpected error in the log is that the Access Manager war was
deployed with error:

CLI171 Command deploy failed : Deploying application in domain failed; Cannot
determine the Java EE module type for C:\Users\???? ????????
\AppData\Local\Temp\s1astempdomain1server1142715591\amserver.war

Well, user already renamed to User and russian letters are in the comments or
something like this. We'll investigate because Vista is new and looks strange in
some areas...
BTW I think i18n should work fine with any kind of characters :)
Comment 7 Kirill Sorokin 2006-09-05 07:35:38 UTC
I'm curious, is the AS installation successful, if you use its own installer? Or
it's an issue solely with Ent. Pack installer?
Comment 8 Michael Nazarov 2006-09-05 10:55:12 UTC
Standalone AS installer works fine and installed server able to start.
Comment 9 Kirill Sorokin 2006-09-15 11:55:21 UTC
Lowering priority, since Vista is not the target/priority platform.
Comment 10 Kirill Sorokin 2007-04-26 09:55:24 UTC
Since this issue is no longer relevant, closing as WONTFIX. Please file further
issues against the NBI-based installer.
