Currently there's no way to create or drop new elements to diagram editor of any
type of diagrams without using the mouse.

Not possible to create links from the palettes either.

To create an non-edge element using keyboard, do as follows:
1. Press Ctrl-Shift-8 to navigate to UML palette
2. Press TAB to get to the 1st. element on the palette 
3. Press Up or Down arrow to traverse thru the elements on the palette in either
direction. 
4. Press Ctrl-Enter to select an element and create it at the center of a
current diagram editor.
5. User Ctrl-Arrows key to move the element to a desired location

Creation of diagram elements/links using keyboard has been implemented. Closing
this issue as Fixed.

looks like all elements can now be added.

all possible specific issues with exact elements are filed or will be filed as
separate issues
