The jboss server can only be started and stopped for a single iteration.

If you attempt to start the server again, then it will display in the bottom 
corner that the server is starting, but it never does start.

This was found on windows using the 1.6 jre.

Which build do you use and also platform? I think this issue is already fixed in
the latest daily builds.

It was simply the Java EE 5 Tools Bundle from 
http://www.netbeans.org/downloads/index.html
 
It was used on the windows platform.

Where is the daily build for this?

On mentioned page follow link Development Builds of Upcoming Releases. The
choose 5.5 and Daily as build type, click Next

Please follow the instructions in the issue 82717 if you can see the 'stopping'
problem in the latest builds.
