Description bugbridge 2006-06-20 19:41:19 UTC
Original status: 1-Dispatched; Suggested Status: NEW

These items should be added to the Keywords: REGRESSION
Original submitter: akorostelev

Description:
submachine state is resized after
- moving
- adding link to/from it

how to reproduce:
- create uml project
- create state diagram
- put submachine state element on diagram and name it
- resize element to make it larger
- move submachine state element on diagram

BUG: Element is unexpectedly resized.

Related bug 6408964 was closed as not a bug because element was resized because
'Automatically Size Elements' property started to work.
As a regression caused by this change, It started to be resized after linking or
moving.
Comment 1 Thuy.d Nguyen 2006-08-12 03:23:53 UTC
I can't not reproduce the issue of moving the Submachine State element. The
enlarged size of the element stays the same as I move it around. However, when
I add a link from a Simple State element to a Submachine State, the Submachine
State element is reduced to its smaller size.
Comment 2 Andrew Korostelev 2006-11-02 11:57:17 UTC
list of similar regression issue (about element resizing after renaming) were
fixed after 'Automatically Size Elements' property started to work.

unfotunately this isuue wasn't fixed.
Comment 3 Andrew Korostelev 2006-11-02 15:42:44 UTC
previous comment is incorrect.
1) submachine state resizing after renaming - is not a bug.
2) resizing after move is not reproducible any more.

Ther only reproducible bug is resizing after adding link.
Will change Summary.
Comment 4 George Vasick 2007-05-17 18:36:52 UTC
Planned for drawing area upgrade after NB 6.0.
Comment 5 George Vasick 2007-05-18 00:25:46 UTC
Should not use resolved/later status.
Comment 6 George Vasick 2007-06-28 22:48:58 UTC
Targeted in drawing area redesign.
Comment 7 George Vasick 2007-07-04 00:55:25 UTC
Restoring original priority and using the standard NB waiver process.
Comment 8 George Vasick 2008-01-02 17:43:04 UTC
Diagram area bugs waived for 6.0 will also be waived for 6.1.
Comment 9 Yang Su 2008-05-16 23:50:16 UTC
does not exist in new design
Comment 10 Peter Lam 2008-07-21 18:34:09 UTC
verified in build 20080721. The automatic resizing issue still exists if creating a link to or from it. The moving of
the element no longer resize it automatically in the new design.
Comment 11 Yang Su 2008-09-05 22:53:41 UTC
fixed
Comment 12 Peter Lam 2008-09-08 20:21:40 UTC
verified in build 20080908.
adding link to and from the elements (both simple state and submachine state) are still shrinking the size to the
default. See attached screenshot.
Comment 13 Peter Lam 2008-09-08 20:22:08 UTC
I meant attached video instead.
