The mappings from DB column types and Java types used in CMP or JPA entity
classes is hard coded in netbeans. It would be useful to cusomize this. The
selection of Java type can be based on DB column type, precision, scale, etc.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
