Hi,

  Matisse the auto snap alignment are very cool! which exist in XCode and now you
will be able to find it in .NET, SwingBuilder for Eclipse. 

  Now the biggest missing feature is... support null layout in Matisse. 
so... Please make Matisse support null layout! We not entering NetBeans just
because of this.... and We are choosing .NET also because of this... We like
NetBeans... so.. hope to see Matisse support Null Layout as well..

I am sorry I don't understand what support do you miss/request.
Could you, please, provide more details. You can use absolute positioning
(e.g. null layout) in NetBeans GUI builder already - just invoke
Set Layout > Null Layout from the context menu of your container.

Hi,

  Thanks for your repply. I understand that Null will provide absolute positioning
but that will not turn the auto snapping with guide line on and from what I
understand auto snapping only available in Group layout....

  So, I really hope that auto snapping with guide line will available in null
layout as well...

The support for absolute positioning via null or AbsoluteLayout could offer the features of snapping and aligning, also setting the same size etc. That would be useful. However, all these would work just as setting the static absolute positions and sizes as they appear at given moment in the designer, not establishing permanent relationships between components maintained dynamically as done by Free Design (GroupLayout).
