Hi, I was going over Netbean 5.0 Quickstart Guide for the Struts Web Framework. I initially started with the default package name: com.myapp.struts I then decided to rename it to: com.steadfastprocesses.struts I used previewing on refactoring changes, it looked all right, however i had an exception when i tried running the project: login.name key message empty, but my ApplicationRessource.properties did list login.name=Name. I then changed my package name back to com.myapp.struts and sure enough i did not get any exception. So I went and looked in struts-config.xml and tried changing the name of the package by refractoring, this is when I noticed that the <message-ressources parameter= did not change accordingly keeping the old package info. It does not seem like it is a bug which is hard to fix but I am sure it has driven some people crazy already. I havent tried the latest version of Netbeans to see if it was fixed yet. Thanks Ben
Reassigning to j2ee/refactoring for evaluation
Unfortunately refactoring support for struts-config.xml is not planned for 5.5, perhaps in later releases.
I agree this should be done in NB 6.0. I would classify this as an enhancement - it's just not implemented.
I'm changing the summary to cover Struts refactoring support in general and will close similar issues as duplicates of this.
