The progress bar is not aligned properly. There's no space around progress bar, nor between the label and progress bar and the label showing percentage is not aligned properly either. See the attached screenshot. P2 because small visual things like this mean a very bad first impression about NetBeans.

keeping the bug opened just to figure out how annoying and easy to fix a bug has to be to trigger an external patch contribution. ;)
done spacing.. the text alignment seemed to work for me..
I still see some issues: - the percentage label isn't vertically centered inside the progress bar - the separator next to the progress bar is touching the window border. I think it shouldn't. I will attach the screenshot after the recent fix which still has some issues. I'll also attach the figure from the UI spec showing the correct spacing and alignment. The spec is in URL field.

well, as the attached picture shows, it's only an issue on winxp. both issues are related to the fact that it's not possible to squeeze the progress bar on winxp lf into the given status bar area. different platforms (lfs) have different idea about the correct height of a progress bar.. even now it's higher than jindra wanted it to be AFAIK. I recall someone filing an issue that the status bar height moves up and down when progress is shown. Platform/LF dependent, not a P2 anymore.
I agree with P3. You probably cannot influce the position of text within progress bar. Or can you? But I noticed that there is 3 pixels gap above the probress bar, while only 1 pixel below the progress bar. This is on XP. I would suggest to move the progress bar 1 pixel up on XP. Also, there's no empty space below the separator, while there's 2 pixels empty space above the separator on XP. I sugges to move the separator 1 pixel up on XP.
Any plans to merge at least current fix to 5.5? It would be great to have nice progress bar there:o)
no current plans to do so. I don't consider it a high priority issue right now.
We've discussed this at nb-usability team and we think that if the current fix is trivial, it should be merged into 5.5. It's just a minor code change without any risks but with great effect on visual appearance.
moving opened issues from TM <= 6.1 to TM=Dev
Can't reproduce it on Windows 7 - as was said it is probably just Win XP issue. If anyone is able to reproduce this issue on current build please reopen. Minor UI annoyance -> P4
