I am using jdk1.5.0_06 and i never get a gray icon for my disabled menu options.

The screenshot shows what i mean.

I checked various JDK versions and it seems like JDK problem. Submenu icon is
grayed correctly in 1.4.2, but not grayed out in 1.5.0 and 1.6.0. Will have to
develop test application to enter JDK bug.

This looks like a jdk bug, i developed a small test application to test the
menus with matisse and the same problem happens.
