When I try to open update center (when J2ME module is turned OFF) the attached
(Errorlog.log) NPE occurs. However when I turn J2ME module ON AND restart NB it
opens up correctly again.

Yes, we know about this problem, it really gets only if you have
disabled/uninstalled J2ME module. Thanks for report, this will be fixed in the
next version of NB.

module manager subcomponent is gone => resolved issues are assigned to
autoupdate/code
