This issue is relating to the encoding settings available in netbeans. I usually work using the default encoding of java source files to utf-8. Which in turn means that I have to set the build options for each individual project to "-encoding utf-8". Since there is already a way to set the default encoding of source files, it will be very usefull to have an option to set default compiling and build options throughout the ide, and not on a project basis only. I am not talking about point and click sort of thing for each of the extra option available for javac, but a text field that will store the general compiling options I wish. If for an individual project I want these to be different I can change them with the features already available. Having said that it will be also usefull that the output panel inherited the encoding that the source files of the project have. If that is too complicated, then an option will be very nice. If I get an error message for some string written in utf-8 that does not use roman characters then the output window shows giberish. I hope I have made the issue clear. For anything else please let me know.
