Description dmocek 2005-12-05 23:29:27 UTC
[ BUILD # : 200512041900 ]
[ JDK VERSION : 1.4.2_xx ]

Open a file (mine has 60 entries in the Usages drop-down). Go to Navigator->Usages. Select and entry. NB expands the tree node showing 'Please wait...'. Go to Window->Find Usage Results. NB locks up.

I tried this a second time. The second time, it didn't lock up right away. After displaying the 'Find Usages Results' window, I closed it (hit X in upper-right corner), then clicked on the Navigator drop-down and selected 'Usages'...it locked up then.

Navigator -> usages again. I really wonder, what is navigator -> usages.
Comment 2 Milan Kubec 2005-12-06 09:13:35 UTC
Seems to be duplicate of issue #69919.
Comment 3 Jan Chalupa 2005-12-06 11:19:31 UTC
Apparently, the navigator/usages module is far from stable. It's not part of the
standard NB distro and there is a good reason to it.

Java usages navigator is gone as of 6.0. If recreated with the new parsing infrastructure, it should not have the issues with the source parsing lock that
caused all this trouble.

contrib/javanavigators still exists. If you don't plan on maintaining it please delete it.
