When you browse for all the public chats in collab, it seems the data is retrieved first then showed to the gui.  The major problem with this is sometimes it seems like something has locked up, as theres no GUI response while this is happening.

It would be good if the data was showed as it was coming in or even at very least, the fetch was threaded off and the busy cursor was set.

The UI blockage is already fixed. Progressive display of the available chat data
not though.

Reassigning to issues@collab. Collab Support plugin is not actively maintained.

Obsoleted in 6.7 by the newly introduced integration with Project Kenai, a
collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects,
which includes also a chat service.
