Description abonnema 2005-10-23 16:33:03 UTC
When I want to rename a field in de design (panel), then often / mostly the
field turns out to be protected. Even the left and right arrow do not function.
I can use the mouse to select all or some character, but I can not change
anything or even navigate using arrowkeys.
This also happens when using refactor on a fieldname. Often I can get the field
to be unprotected, if I change to a different field on the response and then
back to the "rename" field. This renders the field unprotected so I can perform
the rename.
However, in the case of renaming a field in Matisse, there are no other fields
to change to, and pressing the buttons OK or Cancels ends the dialog.
So, all I can do is repeat the process until, for some reason the field-rename
turns a dialog with a edittable field for renaming......

Reassigning to form, please evaluate.
Comment 2 Tomas Pavek 2005-10-24 13:08:00 UTC
I've heard about such problems on Linux. It is likely more general problem,
maybe a JDK bug. Looks similar to issue 49804, so reassigning to core for
evaluation.
