Description Marian Mirilovic 2005-10-18 08:36:42 UTC
NB 5.0 (200510171800), JDK 1.5.0_06

It looks like something is broken. I used to use "Use System Settings Proxy" on
my Linux RH 9 / Gnome laptop, without any problems. Today I can't. Connecting to
Update Center failed, because of wrong proxy setting, once I set it explicitly
to the same proxy server, it works without any problems.

It works with the last Q-build (200510131600).

which version of GNOME? Can you do "set > /tmp/env.txt" on the command line and
attach env.txt here? I tested the fix on GNOME 2.12 which is probably too new :-(

My $DESKTOP_SESSION returns 'default' although I'm using Gnome. What if we use
Gnome as default fallback?
Comment 4 _ ttran 2005-10-18 13:27:15 UTC
jrectacek: can you please attach the output of "set" command?
Comment 5 _ ttran 2005-10-18 13:28:38 UTC
I put in another detection for GNOME, which should work for RH 9

Trung,
did you fix it? It works fine in NB5.0(200510190645). If so, please mark it fixed.
Comment 9 Marian Mirilovic 2005-10-21 11:25:47 UTC
Well, I saw the commit ... close it by myself.
