I tried collaboration on NetBeans 5.0 Beta on Windows XP (Japanese) with Java ES Instant Messaging Server 2005Q4 (version 7.0). I created 3 conference rooms in server. One is ASCII name, other two rooms are Japanese name. When I tried to subscribe these conferences on NetBeans, only ascii conference room is listed, other two conference names are not listed. Environment: NetBeans 5.0 Beta Windows XP (Japanese) Collaboration Provider for Sun Java System Instant Messaging Server (1.0.4) Java ES Instant Messaging Server is running on Solaris 9 x86 platform. Step: 1. Install and configure Java ES Instant Messaging Server Create accounts, create conferences - 1 for ascii name, 2 for Japanese name 2. Start Java ES IM client 3. Try to subscribe these conferences on IM client All 3 conferences are displayed proplery 4. Start NetBeans with collab module 5. Try to subscribe these conferences on NetBeans, click "Browse..." on "Subscribe to Public Conversation" dialog. Only ascii conference room is displayed.

Reassigning to issues@collab. Collab Support plugin is not actively maintained. Obsoleted in 6.7 by the newly introduced integration with Project Kenai, a collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects, which includes also a chat service.
This bug was reported against NetBeans IDE 6.0 or an older release, or against a non-maintained module. NetBeans team does not have enough resources to get to this issue, therefore we are closing the issue as a WONTFIX.
