It would be great if the Netbeans taskbar item could blink if there is a new
message but the Netbeans window is not in focus or front. This would be like the
behavior of most chat clients and is very (!) usable so you don't have to check
the Netbeans window when it is not the front one.

Reassigning to issues@collab. Collab Support plugin is not actively maintained.

Obsoleted in 6.7 by the newly introduced integration with Project Kenai, a
collaborative environment for developers to host their open-source projects,
which includes also a chat service.
