I various other editors you can select columns of text (using say, ALT + Mouse
drag). Not only can the selected columns be cut and pasted, tabs can be added or
removed before the marked area.

This feature is very useful with long lists of things - mostly takes a lot less
time that using finad-and-replace with regular expressions - which is the only
substitute at present.
