After installing and using the Collaboration module the "Find" button and menu "Edit->Find..." were gray (disabled) and not usable. Only the source view of the class which extends MIDlet was affected, the other classes behaved normal. Workaround: Use menu "Edit->Replace..." with "Find".
Reassigning to "collab".
That probably means the j2me has some problem with assigning find performer to the find action. In collab explorer, find is disabled, so maybe after you switch from collab to midlet, the find action is not updated properly.
Why are "Find" and "Replace" disabled in collab explorer ?
this has nothing to do with Collaboration module. I'm able to reproduce with an VMD file. Open VMD file, look at 'Source' and 'Edit > Find..' is disabled Doesn't look as P2 for me. Downgrading but it's worth to fix it if the fix isn't too dangerous.
I'mclosing as duplicate of issue #68765 The problem is more complicated and needs to be solved in core *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 68765 ***
@ pnejedly Can you please answer my question of Oct. 3rd: Sorry, that I reopen for this, but I don't know how to pose the question otherwise. Why are "Find" and "Replace" disabled in collab explorer ? In my opinion "Find" and "Replace" are important functions also in collab sessions. They should not be disabled.
Ulf, it has no sence to reopen the issue here. This issue was about disabled Find button in VMD document. Issuezilla isn't chat system but bug tracking one... If you to report problem etc. about collaboration module you can fill new bug for them http://www.netbeans.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi?component=collab There is always option to ask question like this one - email. thanks *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 68765 ***
