Description Tomas Danek 2005-09-12 15:08:18 UTC
I've filed the same for Martin's Action wizard, issue 63959..
comments from discussion on dev@apisupport:

> When you choose enormly big "icon" for your action, UI of menu gets damaged,
looks very ugly, names of item collide with shortcuts, etc.
> Quesion is whether restrict user to use only standard sized icons.
> IMHO not. But solution is i think to inform user about standard size,
> which guarantees appropriate UI.

I agree, a warning should be displayed in the wizard if an icon which is not
16x16 is selected. Please file a bug (apisupport/templates, mkrauskopf I think,
probably P3). There is already an issue open for being able to select a 24x24
toolbar icon, BTW.

If you want exact steps to reprocuce - just try to add some non standard size
icon in Window component wizard, and run module. See menu Window, it's UI is
horrible. So just provide in wizard some warning message that non standard icon
has been chosen.

duplicate of #63959. the same icon checks apply to all file templates in
apisupport.

verified. Would be great to "synchronize" this with Martin, so that warning or
(any other solution) would be the same in each wizard.
