Description _ tball 2005-09-08 21:49:50 UTC
It would be very helpful if there were a totals row in the profiler's memory
display. Ideally, it would work with the filter, so that the totals are based
on the current filter set.

My use case for this feature is that I am determining what the memory "cost" is
for a given set of app actions, so I clear the profiling state and gc, execute
the command in the target app, and get a snapshot. The problem is that I then
have to manually add 20-40 elements to get a total for the action.

Sounds like a good idea.
We were also thinking about doing Part of application memory profiling - i.e.
determinimg memory usage for a specifiec piece of code, this should improve the
user experience of your usecase further - see issue 64122
