Description rickskirch 2005-06-10 20:02:00 UTC
Windows XP Service Pack 2
JKD 1.5 update 3
Netbeans version 4.1 build 200505031930

Steps to repeat:
1. New Project->General->Java Application
2. Pick name and location of main app->Click Finish

IDE first comes up with Initializing parsing of rt.jar. The progress bar goes
maybe 3 notches before it then starts the repetative Scanning Project
Classpaths message box with the message Initializing scanning please wait.
This message box comes up about every 2 seconds for about a half second and
does this indefinitely. I have waited 20 minutes and it does not stop.
Comment 1 rickskirch 2005-06-14 17:50:45 UTC
Not sure if this is appropriate, but the tool is unusable in this state.
Updating the priority to P2.
Comment 2 Milos Kleint 2005-06-28 13:40:00 UTC
reassigning to java module for evaluation
Comment 3 Tomas Hurka 2005-06-29 08:15:02 UTC
Please provide more information. Attach ide.log and create some thread dumps during repetitive
Scanning Project Classpaths. I cannot reproduce it.
