Hi, Someone has already requested a feature regarding "recent file list". This is important and must be implemented as follows: - No of files kept in the history must be user configurable - A dialog box should open and users should be able to search from the recent file list. This approach provides great productivity. In addition to this the following: Currently in NB you can setup any folder under the projects node by adding bits of xml in the project.xml file. What we need is the ability to create a Pseudo Folder(s) (that exist only in the projects node tree in the ide) and collect any arbitrary files relevant to the project under such folders. Currently when a folder is mapped the entire file system tree under it is available - same issue with the Favourites folder concept. Each time you want a file you have to click down to 10's of dirs to get to your file. For max productivity we need access to "fav files" and ability to organise those files into pseudo folders specific to a Project and not necessarily across all projects like the Fav panel currently does. It is important that these folders be available under the Project Node/View because this is the view that is on top 90% of dev time. Netbeans is beautiful Please give this feature high prority from a productivity point of view.
Recent Files feature has been implemented adn will be available in NB 6.0 Milestone 4 build.
Yes, Recent files has been implemented, currently in menu-form, which doesn't allow real history searching. Adding dependency.
No further plans to work on this for resource and priority reasons, perhaps community could step in and provide dialog version with searching etc.
