Description ssoong 2005-05-12 18:38:50 UTC
NB4.2 2005 05 05 1800
JDK 1.5.0

I have about 10 or 12 files open for editing.
I have index.jsp and index.js as the first two files.
I open web-inf/jspfs/index.jspf but the editor placed it at the far end so I
have to pull its tab next to index.jsp. That way I can edit cross-reference
when all the related files are next to each other.

No, 20050505 just won't let me shift a tab pane over more than three panes.
As the 13th pane, I had to shift index.jspf four times, over three panes at a
time. I recall I could that with no problem in 200504xx.

[Diversion: remember the project group issue#? This is another example why it
would be great to group files together]

I think this is another issue due to using Swing on XP dual display.
I moved NB window to primary display and then moved it back and the panes
started being movable.
But IMNSHO (not so humble opin), Editor performance should not be affected by
Swing's misadventures with Windows technology.

reassigning to openide/winsys

Hmm, I can't reproduce, either with 2 monitors or with 1 monitor, everything
works well.

ssong, could you please try with latest build? If bug reappers, please write
down exact reproduction steps (when switched to 2 monitors, before starting
netbeans, after starting?)

Too late for NB5.0, please reevaluate.
Comment 5 David Simonek 2007-01-19 13:15:30 UTC
Works for us and no information for a long time, closing.
