Description Antonin Nebuzelsky 2005-04-25 14:24:05 UTC
Currently recommended HW configuration is written in Release Notes. But who
reads documentation before starting an application for the first time, right?
;-) So, it may be quite a common case that a user with with very weak HW
configuration (e.g. 128MB RAM) tries to run the IDE and gets into trouble very
soon. It would be useful, besides reducing footprint of Netbeans, to let the
user know at first start that his configuration is not strong enough for smooth
operation.

I expect this is target for the IDE only (not platform apps) though it is not
clear if extra packs should be taken into account.
