Description Marco Walther 2005-04-09 19:05:48 UTC
j2eeserver uses a ServerInstanceID to communicate with the devmodules which
server should be used for the next actions. But the problem is that this
ServerInstanceID only describes the ServerInstance but it has no description
of the targets (when a ServerInstance supports multiple targets).

I need a way to describe the targets as well!

I made this a P1 to start the discussion on this problem, I believe it can not
easily be fixed in 4.1, but I would like to agree on the way forward because I
need this now.

Thanks,

This issue is enhancement, not defect. Marking as a duplicate of issue 57362.

We have sortly discussed this issue about two weeks ago. But I don't think we
are sure how much important this is from user point of view.

Could you please elaborate a little bit, why do you need this? What are the user
scenarios this enhancement is required for? I mean, is this multi-target support
really need for development?
