Created resources using the Use Database and Send JMS and they appear in the sun-ejb-jar.xml file. they are visible as nodes in the sun-ejb-jar.xml visual editor and in the source mode. If i delete the resources manually in the xml source, and then open the xml in the visual editor, the resources i deleted are still visible. if i open up the xml source again, they are not there. discrepancy between views. I then edit the resources in the visual editor [eg change the jndi name of a resource i deleted] and save and close the xml. Now if i open the xml in edit mode all the deleted resources are back again
The problem is that you deleted those resources only from the sun-ejb-jar.xml and not also from the ejb-jar.xml. When you then open the visual editor, your sun-ejb-jar.xml will be "repaired", however, the "repaired" version will not be saved unless you make any other change and save it. I've found two issues, when investigating this one. 1. The changes are not saved or the editor is not marked as modified after the sun-ejb-jar.xml is "repaired". 2. The other issue is filed as issue 57848.
moving to sunappserv
I think this bug, which presumably refers specifically to case 1, above, is fixed. I will confirm.
Problem #1 above is not fixed yet in the edge case still remaining as described in issue 57848.
Deferring to promo-G since I deferred issue 57848 to promo-G.
Ludo downgraded issue 57848 to P4 - this one should be same priority as that one, so downgrading as well.
Obsolete milestone, please reevaluate
Closing as fixed since the main issue was fixed long ago and the remaining edge case (issue 57848) no longer applies due to NB6 rewrite of config editor.
