[ BUILD # : 20050329 ] [ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_02 ] If I create a new java class the author gets filled in with my first name and last name. If I create a new XML document, the author gets filled in with my first name only so i have to type in my last name. A nit for sure, but an irritation.
I can't reproduce this. Please note that wizard takes value of USERNAME environment variable for this field. Can you please run "echo %USERNAME%" command at command line prompt to verify that it contains different text than what is used when generating the XML file ?
%USERNAME% echoes as Carl But if I create a new Java enum or a new Java class or a new Java main class, it shows Carl Schwarcz as the author. :-)
I still can't reproduce it with development build #200504031800 of NetBeans 4.1 with JDK 1.5.0_03 build #06. Can you please attach full output of set command here ?
Is it possible that there is a common field used by the java templates that has been modified on our side (perhaps as far back as NB 3.5)? I'm attaching the output from set as well as the newly created XML file and a newly created Java Enum...
Created attachment 21396 [details] console output and samples XML and Enum
Verified in 6.5 and it appears to be working.
