[ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_01 ] i sometimes use the mouse to close windows (editor tabs). i don't use the x box on the tab, but the window's menu. i would find it nicer to have 'Close Window' in the first position and not 'Close All Documents', so i don't have to move again with the mouse to the menu item.

It depends on which action is more frequently used by users. Honestly, I don't know, but it seems to me that Close individual window could be more frequent that Close All, especially when we will implement enh 50172 (auto-close of old sources), then Close All won't be needed at all or just in special situations. So generally I agree that Close Window should be higher then Close All docs. HIE guys, I'm going to change it unless someone objects...
Jano, could you tell me your opinion or pass this issue further to HIE guys? Should I move Close Window action to the top of tab popup menu?
No strong opinion on my side. The reason why it's not on the first place was that we expected mouse users to use the X button to close windows and the second most frequent action was considered "Close All" or "Close Other". Looking at the menu now, it would be nice to update also wording (get rid of "Document" and "Window" words) and if we move Close to the top, then also rearrange other actions. Something like: ----------- Close Close All Close Other ----------- Maximize Undock Clone ----------- Save File ----------- Or this would be fine as well but I prefer the former: ----------- Close Close All Close Other ----------- Save File Clone ----------- Maximize Undock -----------
