The tab thats is supposed to open in the output
window doesnt appear and the variable that is
supposed to be assigned the input value gets null.

Please, can you be more specific? Do you mean that there is no
possibility to read input from console?

As far as I understand this problem, output window doesn't work as proper terminal (as it 
should) - user can't do input operations.
I would expect output window behave as full-operational terminal.

if this issue is about the input from running application, then it's a
duplicate of #47708.

Please reopen if I understood it incorrectly.
