If I use the a certain dir to create a project
after starting from a fresh userdir, the next
project creation will default to that location as
well.  I would suggest that if I open a project
with a fresh userdir, it do the same thing.

Probably a duplicate of the general issue (can't remember # offhand)
that we need to have a shared API for tracking the "last-used
directory" from a variety of file choosers.
