Description Ken Frank 2004-11-08 06:21:53 UTC
using promoE beta1, I can't find where the text
in the welcome window comes from as to html or
bundle files; I didnt see it in welcome module.

If its in a jar's bundle or html files,
please let me know which and I can close this issue.

Component "i18n" is only for bugs in the I18n module, not for
I18N-related bugs. The welcome screen is actually in the "ide" module.
Comment 2 Ondrej Rypacek 2004-11-11 17:21:31 UTC
You will find it in
ide/welcome/src/org/netbeans/modules/welcome/ui/Bundle.properties

Comment 3 Ken Frank 2004-11-11 17:31:44 UTC
I think I was confusing the welcome screen info in the beta1
release of 4.1 with the welcome screen that is in nb4.0
and trunk.

For now, the welcome screen for 4.1 will be the same as is 4.0,
and not have the welcome text of the 4.1 beta1 ?

If thats the case, then this issue can be closed.

Aha.The welcome screen in 4.1 will be different indeed. I'm
reassigning to the responsible person.
Comment 5 Martin Grebac 2005-01-07 13:31:20 UTC
The welcome screen for 4.1 will be different than for ea1/ea2, and
there's not multilanguage ea2, so this doesn't have to be fixed.
Comment 6 Ken Frank 2005-01-07 18:26:20 UTC
agreed not needed for ea, but since not too
long until fcs and l10n work -- if the welcome
bundle does not have key/values for any
referred to external urls, or not have
nbres type urls for any internal docs,
suggest they be used in the welcome bundle soon.

** as to the nbres type urls, I mean the kind
that works to find the localized file if it
lives in same location as en one, but has a
_<localename>. suffix; I think not all of those
special protocols work that way.
