[ JDK VERSION : J2SE 1.4.2 ]

When I hovered over a variable to check its value
I got the AssertionException shown in the attached
log.
I discarded the dialog and tried checking the
value in the Local Variable pane instead. This
caused NetBeans to lock up completely. No
repaints, nothing.

Tried it again. The lockup happens immediately and repeatably. No need
to expand a variable in Local Variables.

The stack trace and scenario is same as in issue #49951

Verified ... and Closing all issues resolved into NetBeans 6.7 and earlier.
