Start IDE, change L&F from Metal to Windows. Exit IDE and restart it again.
Some parts of the MainWindow have Metal L&F (component pallete, sometimes File in menu and its items ...) and some have Windows L&F (workspaces, actions ...).

Motif L&F behaves in the same way as Windows L&F.

Out of date. L&F cannot be changed in the IDE anymore.
