Does this really requires some work on our side? The issue
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4287596 says that:

"JDI will encapsulated any installed TransportService implementations with
attaching and listening Connectors."

Verified ... and Closing all issues resolved into NetBeans 6.7 and earlier.
