[Filed on behalf of Svetlana Malkova and Gordon Prieur] Per Svetlana, not having key binding for "Macros" in Tools | Options | Editor Settings | Plain Editor | Macros is "inconvenient." Specifically, it should be included in Tools | Options | Editor Settings | Plain Editor | Key Bindings.
Is this missing key for invoking Tools | Options | Editing | Editor Settings | Plain Editor | Macros or is it something else? If it is so I assign to HIE to define key for it.
What the user meant was: it would be nice to have key binding for "Macros" in the Tools | Options | Editor Settings | Plain Editor | Key Bindings list.

I've been asked to look at this by Jirka. I'm not sure I agree that there should be a keybinding to display the Macros window. I think I'd need to see a design document explaining the arrangement of keybindings and editors to convince myself that this is the right solution to this problem here. The underlying need seems like it is something which should be addressed in the Options window redesign. In a little more detail: There are no existing keybinding entries to show the Macros window or to show the Abbreviations window or any of the other options related to any of the editors. If we added an entry to show the Macros window, we'd need to do this for at least the abbreviations window, and maybe some of the other properties. Furthermore, when someone invoked that action, which editor's macros (or abbreviations) window should appear? The one for the plain editor, or the one for the current editor? Or some UI for all the editors so one could decide where to put this? I think my point is that the right solution to this problem is more complex than just adding a keybinding of some sort, and I'd rather this be addressed as part of a deeper effort and dealing with this kind of problems across editor types.
Assigning to Dafe.
Doesn't this belong to the editor module?
Yes, I think this belongs to editor, passing to editor guys.
