User problem:

The VCS output window is extremely hard to use, as
it opens separately from the IDE and does not fit
into the common workflow in the user interface.

User need:

The VCS progress and output needs to fit into the
workflow.

Product requirement:

VCS Output dialog needs to be better integrated
into the workflow and the UI (output window).

Difficulty: 5 - lots of UI changes needed
Hack factor: 0 - don't think there's anything we need to do
 that requires parts of the system that shouldn't know about
 each other to communicate

Desired workflow needs to be modelled, and this issue should
be broken out into a set of dependant subtasks.
