New Update Centrum that can deliver Hot Fixed to NB users is not visible in Autoupdate wizard. It disallows the possibility of delivering patches to NB users and has an impact on maintability of the product. URL of the update center: <http://www.netbeans.org/updates/hotfixes/35_{$netbeans.autoupdate.version}_{$netbeans.autoupdate.regnum}.xml> Update Center Name: "NetBeans Hot Fixes" Please note that it's desired that this Update Center might not be visible in other products that are built on top of NB to avoid update conflicts.
pnejedly will take of this issue. In the future we shouldn't hard code the URLs into the base autoupdate module. By default we should offer nothing. Each product then can provide its own module with an xml layer to add its update centers. Currently if we change the list of update centers for NB IDE then all NB-based products have to inherit or mask them manually. This is backward, IMO. This change won't get through. There is a problem that it is still possible to easily reveal NB hotfixes AU in products built on top of NB, which could cause incompatibilities. Thus we have to proceed with issue 34981, which we can't manage in 3.5.1 release...
