I am trying to change the working directory for the execution type "External Execution". I open the Tools/Options window. Then under the "Debugging and Executing" folder I expand "Execution Types". I select "External Execution" which displayes the "Properties" tab. When I try to select the "Expert" tab, Netbeans crashes silently. Without being able to change the working directory, I cannot run the application. Note: this also happens with the "JAR Execution" and "Debugger Execution" execution type. Note: this also happens in 3.4. It does not happen on Windows (NB version 3.4.1).
Please evaluate.
It works fine on Sol8. Steven, what JDK version/build you use?
JDK version/build is 1.3.1-root_1.3.1_020714-12:46. AFAIK this is the build that comes preinstalled with Mac OSX.
Please upgrade to JDK 1.4.1. See description of issue #27618 and Mac OS X how to page at http://www.netbeans.org/kb/articles/mac.html for more details. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 27618 ***
