Description brucewee 2017-11-13 18:11:09 UTC
This is a generic problem that I've had with NetBeans for a while, but not forever. I keep hoping that an update will make it go away.

Double clicking to open items does not reliably work. Sometimes I must double click over and over again before the open happens, or ultimately right click and select open.

This happens, for example but not limited to, the Projects view. It sometimes happens in dialog boxes.

It seems like anyplace where double clicking to open something or select something has this issue for me.

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101)
Updates: NetBeans IDE is updated to version NetBeans 8.2 Patch 2
Java: 1.8.0_40; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.40-b25
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_40-b27
System: Mac OS X version 10.12.6 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

I only have this problem with NetBeans. Other applications on my mac do not have this problem.

Also, it seems to come and go while I'm using NetBeans.
