Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101)
Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.11.6 running on x86_64
Java; VM; Vendor = 9
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 9+181

Reproducibility: Happens every time

STEPS:
  * open the IDE
  * try creating or opening projects

ACTUAL:
  nothing happens

EXPECTED:
  a window to create projects (opening projects work but when I try opening one it closes it, not the program)
