Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201705191307)
Operating System = Windows 10 version 10.0 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_111
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.111-b14

Reproducibility: Happens every time

STEPS:
  1. Open > 1 file within a project
  2. Open a file not in a project.
 3. Select find (ctol-f/Edit->Find) in the non-rpoject file
 4. Go toa  project file.
 5. Go to non-project file.
 6. Issue Bug Report

ACTUAL:
  Step
  (3) Find works
  (4) Find does not work (ctl-F) and Edit->{Find, Replace, Find Usages} are all grayed (not available)
 (5) ctl-F is available.
 (6) ctol-F is available

EXPECTED:
 I would like to do a ctl-F in any file - please

What's going on? All of sudden things strange things are going on. I have a litany of other nit-noys but I shudder at the prospect of sending a buch of things to you (you won't respect me).
