You can see the issue in the attached picture.
The elements are overlapping and you can see just the half of the elements.
This is an issue in the netbeans projects viewer and in the file navigator.
So maybe this isn't a netbeans issue, but I didn't know where to put this. And maybe you know the solution.

I had the same rendering issue with 8.1.
This issue came up a while ago when I updated to oracle java 8 (from web8upd).
Now I installed java 8 manually what if it works, but not.
I found that maybe this is with the Direct3D pipeline, I set the J2D_D3D to false, but the issue persist.

I installed OpenJDK8 and Netbeans runs smoothly.
This is definately not a NetBeans bug.
So I'll report to Oracle, It's a Java 8 issue.
