The 8.2 build installs successfully on Mac El Capitan (10.11.6), but the same 8.2 build does not install properly on Sierra (10.12.4) Installing Netbeans with Tomcat and GlassFish hangs for 15 minutes, then reports the installation was successful. Netbeans itself is perfectly functional. Running one of the installed servers from the IDE doesn't work. The issue appears to the integration of Netbeans and the app servers. Apparently Apple has done something to block proxy access to localhost/127.0.0.1. I have tried some of the fixes that were posted and they didn't solve the installation problem. When I trie to run an application using the default Tomcat, the deployment fails stalls with 'port already in use (:8084)'. Netbeans doesn't recognize it has already started the server and tries to start another instance - it seems. I have verified that it is Netbeans that started the running instance. What does work, is adding a different Tomcat server and supplying the 'manage' usr/pwd when prompted. Similar bugs were posted months ago, but have not been resolved. Thanks Apple!
