this is the file makes netbeans hang on startup

I have a plugin call MavenRunner, i always click "Install/Reload in Development IDE". My netbeans hang on startup now but if i remove the file /Users/peter/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/8.2/config/Modules/com-peter-mavenrunner.xml . Netbeans is now able to start now. Please check the attachment for that file

So, what you're saying is that the Maven Runner plugin, which is not created by the NetBeans team, but is an external plugin, needs to be uninstalled because it is blocking something.

yes, i meet this bug after i click "Install/Reload in Development IDE" for around 10 times. Anyway i just remove the xml then netbeans back to work. It is a small defect of netbeans. thanks

No, it is a defect of your module. Something in your module is broken.
